CKDU Member News, May 1, 2010

Dear CKDU,
In anticipation of the inaugural ECLECTIC AVENUE dance party this Wednesday, I've been rediscovering Eddy Grant, and learning that Eddy's seminal hit, Electric Avenue, was way deeper than I ever gave him credit for. I aslo learned that the lyrics are "Deep in my heart I'm a warrior." All these years I thought it was either "Deep in my heart I adore ya" or "Deep in my heart I abhore ya." It's so much better Eddy's way.
xoxo

6. CKDU IN THE NEWS
The CKDU Lobby Show (April 22) made in onto DalNews Online. There's fun pics of Quivers, BA & Windom Earle, and a great explanation of our triumphant return to high power.

Sometimes when Buck 65 gets a shout out, it means we also get a shout out, on account of his previous personas as Stinkin Rich and CKDU programmer, DJ Critical. Check out this mention, which features an old Stinkin Rich song about listening to CKDU's low power signal from atop a tree in Mount Uniacke, and then later getting his own show. That's exactly how it's supposed to work!
