Dear dear CKDU,
I can't even believe that July is finally here, and now all I can think about is how quickly it's all going to go by. Let's make a pact, CKDU, to hang on to all the sunshiny summertime moments and make them all last a bit longer than they actually do. It will work if we all do it together. I promise.

4. CKDU IS HIRING A FUNDING DRIVE COORDINATOR
The Funding Drive Coordinator is responsible for coordinating CKDU FM's annual on-air Funding Drive, in cooperation with the rest of the CKDU staff collective & membership. The goal for the Funding Drive is to raise $25,000 to help run CKDU for the next year. The Funding Drive is an annual event centered around an on-air pledge drive taking place from October 1st to 7th, with a possible extension to October 14th.

5. ONLINE ARCHIVES ISSUES - NOW FIXED
Over the past week the server that logs our archives was malfunctioning. This means that a lot of the content you hoped would be archived was not. We're very sorry for the disruption and inconvenience. We're aware that for certain shows this has caused particular problems. George has fixed the problem and the server is once again logging archives. However, please note: much of the content over the past week was NOT archived. If you try to listen to a show that was NOT archived, the computer will send you to the next available audio. Everything logged from Wednesday 4pm onwards is available.

6. JAZZFEST IS HERE! RECORD SHOWS, DO INTERVIEWS! GET A FREE TICKET TO NOMO ON JULY 10!
CKDU is looking for programmers interested in recording live shows during JazzFest, to add to our CKDU Concert Archive. Email catherine@ckdu.ca if you are interested.
Also, Catherine is helping facilitate interviews with the performers at the Jazz Festival, including in-studio performances in some cases. Are you interested? Get in touch!
All CKDU programmers that participate can have a free ticket to the NOMO show at the Seahorse on July 10th. Woohoo!

7. HELP RECRUIT YOUTH FOR CKDU'S RADIO CAMP!
We are looking for youth (ages 14-18) in the HRM to participate in a summer workshop in radio and music production. Do you know someone who might be interested? Contact tynan@ckdu.ca Get more info here!

8. MUSIC COMMITTEE MEET UP FRIDAY 6:30PM
The Music Committee helps coordinate all things Music at CKDU, including and especially the music library & new releases. Come meet your fellow musicophiles and help review & add new music. Location: CKDU lobby.

9. FIX UP YOUR CKDU.CA PRESENCE!
Hey you! Why not update your show information on the program schedule? We've updated the program schedule on our website, so check it out! Some shows have old outdated information, others have none. You can also make a custom show banner 420px X 100px. Send your show description, host name, contact information (if you want it available), link to a website (if you have one), and a show banner to catherine@ckdu.ca.
ALSO If you are interested in having your very own server space with ftp access and a sub-domain (yourshow.ckdu.ca) let george@ckdu.ca know. You can put together your own show website, or even just store old show audio files.
