3. OPERATION WAKE UP! (Mon - Fri, 8 - 9am) has been busy this summer with live hosts every day of the week! Thanks to Catherine Chapman and Catherine Keeler, as well as Felix Kanneman, Melissa Albiani and our newest member, Patti Clappison. However, in September, there will be a few open slots, and we're looking for live hosts to participate in the collective show. Hosting a weekly show doesn't mean having to make your own news; we can help provide news and spoken word content, plus headlines, music, and announcements. Drop a line if you're interested, to news@ckdu.ca
news@ckdu.ca. 4. GOODBYE STAFF, HELLO STAFF

But you'll also hear his golden voice on the radio and in some production work. Welcome aboard, Darius!
We say goodbye AND hello to Catherine Chapman. Goodbye as our trusty and enthusiastic Promotions Coordinator, and hello as this year's Funding Drive Coordinator. If you haven't met Catherine yet, you'll hear from her soon as Funding Drive season is upon us!

We want to make a t-shirt for YOUR SHOW to use as prizes for those who pledge $50 or more to your show during our Funding Drive. Programmers! If you think that a t-shirt with your show's logo will be beneficial for your fundraising, then start designing and lets get these t-shirts silk screened!
If you think this is something you would like to do for Funding Drive, or you need help designing, please email catherine@ckdu.ca
6. CKDU ANNUAL PICNIC A JOLLY GOOD TIME!
Check out the pictures here!
Despite strong winds and temperatures unbecoming to an August afternoon, CKDU's annual picnic was a great success. About 200 people attended throughout the day and enjoyed food from the Dawgfather, and performances by Sleepless Nights, Friendly Dimension, Lovebutter, and Cousins, as well as CKDU djs.
7. RADIO PROGRAMMING SKILLS WORKSHOP
Want to take your live radio programming skills to the NEXT LEVEL?
This training will cover some key skills involved in mixed music and spoken word content shows, such as interviewing, reading and creating news headlines, themes, intro and outros. We'll discuss how to plan out a radio program, from start to end, including features, weather, announcements, and music breaks.
