2. HOMELESSNESS MARATHON NEEDS YOU!
Do you have some hours to spare on Tuesday evening through to Wednesday morning? CKDU will be hosting a live broadcast and listening station for the 2010 Homelessness Marathon. This awesome radio event is Canada's largest conversation on homelessness, with discussions and interviews contributed from across the country.
CKDU needs people to help out! Tasks include collecting, cooking & serving food, teching the MCR during the live feed, and helping collect audio and host activities at St. Matthews church.
Can you help? If so, email david@ckdu.ca, or call 494-2585.

3. COMPUTER FILES TO BE DELETED!
This just in from George: If you have a profile on our server and have files that you do not need anymore - please get rid of them. Within a week you may not have access to them. We need to free up some space on our servers and I've noticed some programmers have upwards of 30gb of wav and production files in their account. Please back up anything you want. Next week I will be deleting files from profiles that are excessively large. I'll make an effort to keep anything that looks useful - but no promises!

4. CKDU GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING!
On March 10, 6:30pm, come discuss:
** Hosting the NCRC 2011
** CKDU Archives & Website... ideas for redesign
** Changing our fiscal year. We will consider the following motion, which was introduced at the last general meeting:
Be it resolved that whereas it is more convenient for our bookkeeping, that section 43 of the CKDU-FM by-laws be amended to read "The fiscal year of the Society shall be the period beginning April 1 and ending March 31."

5. CKDU SHOW SWAP WEEK
The 1st annual CKDU show swap week was a bumpin' mini-party! There were not a ton of folks who switched shows, but it was a fun experience for those willing to take the risk. Some cool CKDU programs that swapped with each other were Third Wave/Mad Session and The Message/The Explainer. Getting ready for the second installment of this radio fiesta soon! You will be harassed EVEN MORE to get out of your comfort zone and swap your show! To be continued...

6. CFRC CALL FOR FUNDING APPLICATIONS
The Community Radio Fund of Canada (CRFC) is making a call for applications for Canada’s campus and community radio sector!
Contributions are available to the sector under two programs: the Radio Talent Development Program and the Youth Internship Program. The goal of both programs is to develop innovative local interest programming while providing mentorship, education, and or training for broadcasters.
For details on eligibility, the programs, and how to apply please visit: www.communityradiofund.org

** Please note:** CKDU can only submit one application to each program! So, if you are interested in applying please submit a one-page proposal to CKDU. Please include a description of the project, how you plan to execute it and how it relates to the CKDU mandate. The Programming
Committee will decide which applications to submit to the CRFC. The one-page proposal is due March 12th. For more info contact the station!

7. 2010 NCRA COMMUNITY RADIO AWARDS
Do you have an interview, feature or program that you're particularly proud of? If so, let's nominate it for an NCRA community radio award!
The NCRA Awards honour the amazing programming, people and activities our sector has to offer and reflect the range and diversity of community radio across Canada. Winners receive national recognition at the NCRC Awards Gala on June 11, 2010 on Gabriola Island, British Columbia and on the NCRA website. All work must have been aired between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010.
Let staff know your nomination ideas by March 19th.

8. NATIONAL C/C RADIO CONFERENCE: June 2010
This year's NCRC is June 7th to 11th on Gabriola Island in British Columbia. The host station is Gabriola Coop Radio. You can check out what they have planned here: http://www.ckgi.ca/ncrc-2010/
Are you interested in meeting community radio folks from far and wide while enjoying some fine Pacific ocean air? Then email erica@ckdu.ca. We are forming a committee to help raise funds and plan the trip to NCRC Gabriola.
