3. NOCTURNE + CKDU
CKDU is involved with Nocturne in two great ways this year!
Former Arts Smarts host Eleanor King will be broadcasting her Nocturne piece, Freshwater Brook, on 88.1FM from 6pm-midnight on Saturday night, and a series of radios tuned to CKDU will play the piece in the Public Gardens, along the path of the brook that formerly ran through Halifax.
CKDU has also contributed by organizing live music aboard the Halifax-Dartmouth ferry throughout the night. Ride the ferry and hear the likes of Dusty Keleher, the Maritime Centre of African Dance, the Halifax Uke Gang, Sambo Nova, and the Smokin Contra Band. Look for CKDU in the Halifax Ferry Terminal.
